Indication :
- The preparation contains a dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves.
- It is a herbal medicine used to improve age-related cognitive impairment and quality of life in mild dementia.
Dosage :
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- The recommended dose for adults and elderly patients is 1 film-coated tablet twice a day.
- The twice daily intake should be in the morning and evening.

- There are no data on dosing in case of impaired renal or hepatic function.

- The treatment should last at least 8 weeks.

If you take more than you should

- The film-coated tablets are taken orally. Do not take the tablets lying on your back. The tablets should be swallowed whole (not chewed) with liquid, preferably a glass of water. It can be taken independently of meals.

Taking with other medicines
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.
- This also includes medicines bought without a prescription.
- Ginkgo can affect the way other medicines work.

Therefore, do not take this medication before consulting your doctor:
- if you are taking anticoagulant medicines (e.g. phenprocoumon and warfarin) or antiplatelet medicines (e.g. clopidogrel, acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs),
- if you take dabigatran
- if you are taking nifedipine.
- Concomitant use of Ginkgo biloba preparations and efavirenz is not recommended; Efavirenz plasma concentrations may be decreased.
