GUERLAIN Les Eaux Eau de Cologne Imperiale Eau de Cologne

100 ml

  • Scent direction : citrusy, floral

Created in 1853 by Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, Eau de Cologne Impériale is Guerlain's first Eau de Cologne. The perfume, specially composed for Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III, earned Guerlain the title of "Imperial Court Perfumer". The Empress enjoyed exclusive use of this fragrance for a number of years before agreeing to commercialize it.

The label bears the symbol of the Empire with the coat of arms chosen by Napoleon: eagle, imperial crown and scepter.

The bottle features the symbolic 69 bees of the Empire and the symbol/coat of arms of the Guerlain family "Eaux". If desired, it can be personalised, hand-gilded or decorated with initials.
