It possesses a special property that even the great Roman architects appreciated. They preferred to build their architectural masterpieces on a foundation of travertine. This stone, with its open porosity, offers a large surface area for evaporation, naturally drying whatever rests upon it. Beautiful buildings just as wonderful soaps. Why is Naked Stone naturally perfect? Travertine is an untreated natural stone made of freshwater limestone. Having grown over millions of years, its many natural color nuances and textures make it so captivating and vibrant. "Born" in spring water, its fine pores ideally absorb moisture, keeping the soap gently dry.

Each stone is unique, with varying colors, grain patterns, textures, pores, and edges. The surface of the soap dish is polished smooth, while the underside is rough and porous. Four cork pads protect against scratches.
