Weleda botany: blue monkshood Blue monkshood belongs to the buttercup family. It grows mainly in the mountainous regions of western and central Europe. The flowering perennials develop most beautifully in the full and intense sun at higher altitudes. But beware: its lovely appearance does not necessarily mean that it is highly toxic. But properly processed pharmaceutically, it becomes an effective medicinal plant for Weleda® medicines. Blue monkshood has one of its most important indications for colds. In a potentized form, it is effective for feverish colds and relieves headaches and body aches that occur.
