Primavera Organic Lavandin Oil - 50 ml

Organic lavandin essential oil (bot. Lavandula x intermedia) has a fresh, herbaceous, bright, and clear scent, forming a heart note. Its fragrance is balancing, refreshing, and purifying. It is extracted from the herbaceous part of the plant through steam distillation. We source this essential oil from our long-standing organic farming partner in Piedmont, Italy. 

This subshrub is a hybrid of true lavender (bot. Lavandula angustifolia) and spike lavender (bot. Lavandula latifolia). Its essential oil differs subtly from the milder lavender in that it contains more camphor and the oxide 1,8-cineole. In summer, its fresh scent transforms a floral water into a fragrant body spray that is unappealing to pests. Its clarifying properties also make it a reliable companion during the colder months. Its purifying effect makes it well-suited for use in body cleansers, such as hand soaps. Traditionally, lavandin oil has been used for centuries in soaps, as well as cleaning and washing products for perfumery.
