Lovers is inspired by "The Passionate Shepherd to His Love," a poem by Christopher Marlowe. It opens with a tangy burst of passion fruit, while the heart notes are Bulgarian roses and jasmine, reminiscent of the line "And I'll make you beds of roses, and a thousand fragrant bouquets" from the poem. The fragrance ends with a woody, earthy drydown of cedar, sandalwood, vetiver, cashmere wood, and patchouli, reminiscent of the poem's opening line: "Come live with me and be my love, and we'll show all the joys, the hills and dale, valleys and fields, forests." - Shadi Samra, Master Perfumer
